Rage Behind is an alliance of musicians from the Paris suburbs who combine groove metal with thrash, and they cite influences such as Slayer, Machine Head, and Lamb Of God. Now you know as much as me.

Opening with the title track they tear into it with aggression and a pit-inducing youthful fury. ‘Through Wrath’ is a call to arms that continues with the aggression plus there are some tasty guitar lines from Liva and Ho and some gang-like backing vocals to join in with the ‘Genesis’ brings some quality groove metal before the jagged riffery of ‘Dictated Freedom’ gets nasty. The final cut ‘Eminence Or Disgrace’ is a healthy dose of thrash/groove bludgeon best saved until last.

This is impressive. Great grooves, riffs that hack and slice, rhythms that knock you about, harsh vocals that tell you about yourself, and some fantastic lead lines. This is about as good as it gets. More please – Soon!
