The Scorch the Earth tour made its final stop at the Paramount in Huntington on July 30th.

First up Sunlord, a great friend of mine Wes played drums for them and they killed it. Took me by surprise, they had a push-up pit going during their set and the crowd was enthralled.

Next was Heathen. Incredible. They sounded so tight and played classics like “Hypnotized” and “Goblins Blade”. The crowd was super receptive to them. This show made me a fan.

Third was Exhorder. This was my main selling point and they delivered. From start to finish they were unreal. Playing classics like “Desecrator” as well as new songs like “My Time”, they were heavy as hell and never lost their energy. Kyle Thomas is one of the best vocalists in thrash.

Lastly was Overkill, what can I say that hasn’t already been said about this band? Absolute legends and they proved it that night. New songs like “Scorched” and “The Surgeon” went over amazing as well as the classics “Rotten To The Core” and “Elimination”. Jason Bittner had power throughout his whole set that most people lose after 20 minutes. The whole band proved why they have been in the game for as long as they have.
