‘Tis the festive season, and in its joyful embrace, Lorna Shore orchestrated a spectacular three-night Christmas run along the enchanting east coast—a performance destined to linger in memory.
Rivers Of Nihil commanded the stage with brilliance, delivering a robust set that spanned the entirety of their discography, including the debut of two electrifying new songs, “Hellbirds” and “The Sub Orbital Blues.” The crowd responded with fervor, setting a dynamic tone for the unfolding night.
Following this magnetic prelude, Currents took the spotlight, drawing me in with magnetic force. This band, ever-evolving, showcased primarily tracks from their latest masterpiece, “The Death We Seek.” Each song came to life in the live atmosphere, with particular highlights found in the resonating echoes of “Vengeance” and “Remember Me.” They stand tall as one of the most exceptional newer bands in today’s music scene; catching them live is an experience not to be missed.
The grand finale belonged to none other than Lorna Shore, a powerhouse of immense talent. Austin’s drums pounded relentlessly, and Will skillfully commanded the crowd. The thunderous applause was deafening, suggesting that many in the audience might have been experiencing their inaugural metal show—a heartening sight, as we eagerly seek more gateway bands. In a genre facing challenges, the resurgence brought by bands like Lorna Shore is a beacon of hope. “To The Hellfire” and “Pain Remains” erupted in a symphony of passion, captivating every soul present. The show was not merely a performance; it was a captivating journey, and I feel privileged to have been a witness to this musical spectacle.
