Welcome to London… the city that never sleeps.. no wait, that’s not right. The City that never… has anywhere to park. As such, to preserve Doctor \ Patient confidentiality, both Doktor Von Stottenstein and Psychoberrie have taken the inmates bus from the asylum to find somewhere that won’t incur the wrath of a local traffic warden for the next few hours. Sitrep, nearest space is a good 30 minute walk back to the venue.
As such, we get to chat in depth with Wolfy Huntsman, Bam Bam Bedlam, Rico Rameres and Mother, the latter there to keep us in check and make sure the others didn’t say anything untoward on camera.
Now for those of you new to Ward XVI, and with the serious hat on for a moment, the band released the first chapter of a planned trilogy of concept albums, ‘The Art of Manipulation’, in 2017. It introduced you to the sordid story of Psychoberrie- the UK’s most notorious serial killer now incarcerated among the warped inhabitants of Ward XVI. In September 2020, The second chapter of Psychoberrie’s confessional ‘Metamorphosis’, was unleashed.
The album received critical acclaim from fans and media alike and claimed a spot in many top 10 album polls of 2020. With notable live shows at Bloodstock Open Air and the legendary London Roundhouse supporting Cradle of Filth they have now been touring with Tragedy around the UK to a great reception from the crowds and the good news is that Album 3 is in the works as I type. We caught up with them before the Camden Underworld show:
