Connecticut hardcore titans HATEBREED are breathing new life into the metal scene’s beloved Summer Slaughter tour brand. After celebrating their impressive 30-year milestone throughout 2024, the Grammy-nominated veterans are now set to headline and curate the freshly revitalized tour package for summer 2025.
The monthlong demolition begins July 8 in St. Petersburg, Florida, and will crush its way through major markets until wrapping up in Grand Rapids on July 28. True to Summer Slaughter’s legacy of showcasing emerging talent alongside established acts, HATEBREED frontman Jamey Jasta has assembled a brutal lineup featuring some of the scene’s most promising acts.
“A new era of Summer Slaughter has begun,” declares Jasta, who’s partnered with Sumerian Records to take the iconic brand worldwide. “It’s been years since HATEBREED has done a summer tour in the U.S., and Summer Slaughter is the perfect return for us.”
The lineup promises maximum destruction with support from Fugitive, Gridiron, Malevolence, Incite, Escuela Grind, and Snuffed on Sight on select dates. Tour founder and Sumerian Records’ Ash Avildsen expressed his enthusiasm: “I’ve always wanted HATEBREED to headline Summer Slaughter since the inception of the tour many years ago. Now is the time!”
HATEBREED remains one of metal’s most dominant live forces. Their track “Looking Down The Barrel Of Today” recently surpassed 90 million Spotify streams, cementing their relevance in the streaming era. Their most recent album, 2020’s “Weight of the False Self,” received critical acclaim for its return to hardcore roots while maintaining the band’s signature pummeling sound.
