Oh yes, Kal-El is back with a storming, righteous, red-hot hunk of stoner/psych straight from the outer reaches of the universe.

Kicking off with the title track which is over nine minutes of mid-paced joyous groove that literally takes you on a journey around the astral plane on huge simple riffs and rhythms. The hypnotic vocals of the Captain reassure and calm on what can be at times a bumpy ride. ‘B.T.D.S.C’ (no idea) ups the tempo on a bit of Hawkwind-inspired rock ‘n’ roll – a bluesy riff with loads of swirling synths weaving through the grooves then things get proper heavy on the simple ‘Void Cleaner’ which is bound to get your head nodding. It’s back to the steady psych on ‘Cloud Walker’ before the Sabbath/Hawkwind hybrid of ‘Dilithium’ and ‘Cosmic Sailor’.

Jeez these guys have gone on a proper journey to bring you something really special. The guitars are heavily distorted and follow a big gritty path whilst the engine room of the rhythm section drives it along as they lock into grooves so big you’d need a full tank of fuel to drive round them. At the helm the Captain uses his reverb-drenched voice to command this ship to the back of beyond then home again. Get your tickets for this ride and buckle up as they take you above and beyond.
