Since their formation in 2020, Tzadok, an alternative metal outfit from Mexico’s Ecatepec de Morelos, has embraced a mission of “fusing the intensity of metal with messages of love, hope, and the fight against injustice.” The quartet – comprising Dimatteo (vocals/guitar), April (guitar), Gamir (bass), and Kratos (drums) – emerged from death metal and metalcore roots, but their sound defies conventional expectations of either genre.

We Are Tzadok showcases their evolution into something uniquely their own, blending various metal styles throughout each track. While the album features familiar elements like guttural growls, intense double bass drumming, and melodic death metal tonalities, they masterfully balance these harsh elements with smoother passages, reminiscent of metalcore’s dynamic approach.

Following their 2020 debut Injustice, which focused on combating inequity in Mexico and beyond, this latest release expands their lyrical horizons to explore themes of moral values, love, and brotherhood. In today’s metal landscape, where fans often seek connection through shared experiences, supportive communities, or escape from daily struggles, Tzadok delivers abundantly on all fronts.

The band’s potential for global success is evident in their modern sound, genre-bending approach, and outstanding musicianship – particularly April’s world-class guitar work. Their masterful vocal delivery and innovative fusion of classic metal styles positions them perfectly for international recognition.
