Supernaughty are from Livorno, Italy and have been around since 2014 and they have toured with the likes of High On Fire and Nebula. The band comprise Angelo Fagni (guitar/vocals), Filippo Del Bimbo (guitar), Luca Raffoni (bass) and Alessio Francheschi (drums).

Opener ‘Poseidon’ doesn’t hang about as they all get a great groove going from the off with Fagni vocals coming on like Tracer’s Michael Brown which is no bad thing. ‘Black Witch Mountain’ just rocks from the off and has a ton of reverb giving the vocals a real atmosphere then we get some proper metal on ‘Amsterdamned’ which builds slowly on Bimbo’s grinding riff before it starts to stomp around in concrete boots. That stomp continues on ‘Weird Science’ which is mid-paced and angry before ‘Queen Of Babylon’ kicks off on a very ZZ Top southern lick that flies off on a monumental groove and a sleazy vocal. ‘In(o)culation’ ups the pace on an angry rocker before ‘King Again’ brings some heavy blues and a mighty bassline form Raffoni before the title track crushes us with another mighty Sabbathian groove.

This is right up my alley. Absolutely world class stoner rock that has everything you want. Big riffs, monumental grooves and honest vocals. Definitely worth checking out if you like this sort of stuff. Play it loud for the full effect.
